Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton can claim righteous victory and gloat “I told you so.” The embattled conservative was acquitted September 16 on each and every one of the 16 spurious charges leveled against him by the evil forces of Democrat darkness.

Paxton cleared on all counts

The Texas state Senate cleared their embattled Attorney General Ken Paxton on all 16 charges. The acquittal also “laid bare the fierce divides within the Republican Party that controls all levels of government there,” CNN snipes.

They’re not pleased at the “political victory” for a conservative. Especially one who’s “a hardline conservative and close ally of former President Donald Trump.” He should be guilty of something just for that, Democrats insist.

When Paxton heard the 16 articles of impeachment he faced, he would have laughed except he knew they were serious. They all stemmed “from accusations of repeatedly abusing his office to help a donor, as political retribution.

The Senate wasn’t convinced he actually did anything wrong. The whole thing has been exposed as a politically motivated witch hunt.

As soon as Paxton was cleared by Senate vote, his pay started up again. He’s already back on the job and expecting a big check for all his back pay.

The Attorney General “had been suspended without pay since the House impeached him in May.” As soon as the Senate sent the paperwork over, “Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick certified the acquittal.

The truth prevailed

As soon as he got the word, Paxton took to social media. “Today, the truth prevailed. The truth could not be buried by mudslinging politicians or their powerful benefactors. I’ve said many times: Seek the truth! And that is what was accomplished.

Democrats are horrified. They can’t handle the truth.

The gubernatorial second in command is described by CNN, who obviously doesn’t like him, as “a fellow hardline conservative and staunch Paxton ally who presided over the trial.

Dan Patrick, they write, “praised the outcome and ripped into the House from the dais” immediately after reinstating the controversial prosecutor. That’s not all.

CNN is really shocked that Patrick actually “called for a ‘full audit’ of the House’s spending on the impeachment.” As far as he can tell, it ” was a waste of millions of taxpayer dollars.” The speaker “and his team rammed through the first impeachment of a statewide official in Texas in over 100 years while paying no attention to the precedent that the House set in every other impeachment before.

Democrats aren’t done persecuting him yet though. “Ken Paxton is the subject of multiple other lawsuits, indictments and investigations. If new facts continue to come out, those who allowed him to keep his office will have much to answer for,” House Speaker Dade Phelan snarled at reporters.
