It is well known that Democrats will do whatever it takes to push their agenda, even if that means lying or misrepresenting the truth.
GOP Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has now called out the blatant hypocrisy of this behavior when looking at the current charges against former President Donald Trump and how they compare to what Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff has been accused of doing in order to promote his own narrative.

An indictment was brought up against former President Donald Trump – and some of the conduct prosecutors claim is illegal borders on the absurd.
Trump is being charged with a crime for supposedly asking Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” enough election fraud to close Joe Biden’s lead after the ballots were initially counted in November 2020.
But even more ridiculous than this are tweets used as evidence that he’s guilty of racketeering – such as one where he simply asked people to watch TV.
In response, Senator Graham noted via Twitter that if these types of statements constitute a crime then Adam Schiff should be facing jail time for perpetuating lies about Trump being a Russian agent during Mueller’s investigation into alleged election interference by Russia.
Graham also pointed out Stacey Abrams’ hypocrisy in her claims about winning Georgia’s 2018 gubernatorial election despite losing convincingly – she didn’t bother trying to flog her win even when running for the 2022 gubernatorial race.
Though what both individuals have done is wrong and extremely damaging, their false claims should not be criminalized according to our criminal statutes since they are protected speech under them.
It will be interesting to see how Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis handles this case but regardless, it is clear from Senator Graham’s tweet just how dangerous it would be for politicians who disagree on issues or elections results alike if these kinds of actions were taken seriously by law enforcement officials.
