Early Friday morning, a fire broke out at Senator Rand Paul’s office on State Street in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The commercial building suffered extensive damage, including a roof collapse.
An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the blaze….however, there are many that question whether this incident was accidental.
Thankfully, there were no casualties reported due to the swift response of the Bowling Green Fire Department (BGFD).

Katie McKee, Public Information Officer for BGFD, said that teams of 31 personnel responded to the incident at 1:45 am and have been working diligently ever since.
The firefighters had to remove several tree branches from in front of the building so they could access second floor windows with hoses.
Those from trucks 1 and 6 used aerials to combat flames from an elevated position.
McKee confirmed that nine units arrived at the scene and will continue monitoring it even after extinguishing the fire completely.
Senator Paul issued a statement commending first responders for their efforts before noting that all operations would continue as normal despite damages caused by this tragedy.
Senator Rand Paul expressed his gratitude towards all those involved in containing what could have been an even more devastating situation: “We are thankful for the Bowling Green first responders who arrived quickly to the scene to put out the fire, and are continuing to work with authorities to assess damages and to determine a cause,” Paul wrote. “We have a very well-established emergency management plan and have the ability to continue operations that will not impact our work helping Kentuckians.”
He also asked anyone who may have information about what happened to come forward and assist with investigations.
