When Donald Trump first entered the 2024 race, it was without much support.
That has clearly changed.
With DeSantis stumbling and under constant attack by the DOJ, Trump is rallying in a big way.
Big Numbers
The first quarter hauls for candidates are finally coming in.
At the top of that list is Donald Trump, who brought in a massive $35 million, almost doubling his intake from the first quarter.
The big-money donors are still weary of Trump and sitting on the sidelines, but the average Joe is starting to align with Trump, and they are opening up their checkbooks.
Compare that to the $20 million that was raised by DeSantis, and you can see that Trump is not only ahead in polling, but he will have an ample war chest to fight off any late primary attacks against him.
It seems as though every indictment or legal problem for Trump only brings in more money, so the Democrat plan is completely backfiring.
DeSantis has also had a couple of stumbles, the latest being a bizarre video attacking Donald Trump for his support of the LGBTQ+ community in the past.
That community is not the problem in they eyes of most conservatives, only certain aspects, such as the child grooming by drag queens and early transition surgeries.
DeSantis cannot alienate an entire community if he expects to win, but videos like the one he put out are only helping drive more support to Trump, not take it away.
Between the money and the polling, Trump looks unbeatable right now.
