In early May, Allen, TX, was shattered after a mass shooter unleashed at the Allen Premium Outlets Mall.
Bodycam footage from the officer that appears to be the one that took out the shooter has finally been released.
It is dramatic, to say the least, and shows just how brave our men and women in blue can be.
We Got Him
During the shooting, eight people were shot dead and another 10 were left injured from the shooter.
The officer in the footage was doing some community relations when the shooting started.
He could hear the shooting in the distance, immediately broke from the people he was talking to, grabbed his weapon, then started to run toward the fire.
The only critique of the officer is that he was completely out of breath after running a short distance, but I give him credit for taking a few seconds to gather himself as he got closer to the shooter to ensure his shots would be accurate.
When he finally gets the shooter in his sights, he did not hesitate to take the shooter out…
Allen Police Chief Brian Harvey stated, “This video shows how quickly a routine interaction with the public turned into a life-and-death situation.
“The officer recognized the danger, ran toward the gunfire and neutralized the threat — and for his actions, the Allen community is forever grateful.”
They run to the gunfire when everyone else runs away… they are heroes… it’s that simple.
