When rumors started to surface that Trump was going to be indicted, Trump went right to Truth Social.
The former president made the ill-advised move of asking his supporters to protest.
Numerous Republicans that support Trump, including McCarthy, are countering that request.
It’s a Trap
I don’t personally understand why Trump would even ask this of his supporters.
With what happened on January 6, the feds will be out for blood.
Honestly, it would not be surprising to see the National Guard put in place if an indictment does come down.
Speaker McCarthy (R-CA) is asking his supporters to back down.
He stated, “I don’t think people should protest this stuff.
“Nobody should harm one another…And this is why you should really make law equal because if that was the case, nothing would happen.
“If was this to happen, we want calmness out there.”
Nobody here is pretending that this case against Trump is legit because the law is getting bent about as much as it possibly can to take down Trump.
At the same time, he needs to think before he speaks because nothing good will come from his supporters gathering in large numbers to protest his arrest with such a large police presence, and there will be a large police presence.
