Donald Trump has been swinging at DeSantis for months.
Even before Trump proclaimed, he was taking cheap shots at DeSantis.
Governor DeSantis responded, sort of, and it is only going to infuriate Donald Trump even more.
Not Worth My Time
This tactic by Trump is utterly ridiculous.
First, he is slamming DeSantis for doing something he has not even done yet.
Second, these two could form a powerful alliance and destroy Democrats, but Trump wants war.
This weekend, Trump went after DeSantis again on Truth Social…
DeSantis responded, but more or less brushed Trump off and refused to engage him directly, which is only going to get under Trump’s skin even more.
He stated, “I roll out of bed, I have people attacking me from all angles.
“It’s been happening for many, many years.
“And if you look at the good thing about it, though, is like if you take a crisis situation like COVID, you know, the good thing about it is when you’re an elected executive, you gotta make all kinds of decisions.
“You gotta steer that ship, and the good thing is that the people are able to render a judgement on whether they reelect you or not.
“I’m happy to say, you know, in my case, not only did we win reelection, we won with the highest percentage of the vote that any Republican candidate has in the history of the state of Florida.
“That verdict has been rendered by the people of the state of Florida.”

DeSantis, whether he runs this time or not, is more than likely the future of this party, so Trump attacking him this way is just stupid for the future of the party.
For once, Trump needs to think about something more than his ego and knock off the stupid attacks.
If DeSantis runs, fight it out with policy rather than tearing each other down… Joe Biden is the enemy here, not the Governor.
