No, Donald Trump did not put a plea offer on the table for the DOJ.
Quite the opposite, actually.
He did make an offer, however.
The way things are going, the DOJ would be well-advised to take them up on it.
Do Anything
There is a lot of anger by Trump supporters and Americans in general over this raid.
Trump knows he cannot afford another January 6, so he extended an olive branch to the DOJ.
Trump reportedly reached out to the Attorney General’s office, stating, “The country is in a very dangerous position.
“There is tremendous anger, like I’ve never seen before, over all of the scams, and this new one — years of scams and witch hunts, and now this.
“If there is anything we can do to help, I, and my people, would certainly be willing to do that.”
Trump added, “There has never been a time like this where law enforcement has been used to break into the house of a former president of the United States, and there is tremendous anger in the country — at a level that has never been seen before, other than during very perilous times.”
Trump has yet to get a response from the DOJ.
He told Fox News, “I think they would want the same thing — I’ve never seen anything like this.
“It is a very dangerous time for our country.
“I will do whatever I can to help the country.”‘
Here is the sickness of the mainstream media…
I saw one outlet cover the offer as a threat, interpreting the note as saying that if they did not cave to Trump, he would light the powder keg.
I am not saying Trump did not take a few shots at the DOJ in his offer, but that clearly sounded like, “hey, let’s get past this, rectify the situation, and move on.”
Since the raid, there have been numerous threats against the DOJ and FBI offices, with one threat coming in regarding a “dirty bomb” being planted at the FBI HQ.
Conservative Americans are sick of getting pushed around and seeing the government weaponized against them.
This is a chance for this administration to not only accept an olive branch but also to extend one.
The ball is in their court.
