The Border Patrol has “tremendous concern” that terrorists and spies successfully infiltrated America. They can’t say for certain, because they haven’t been caught, but it worries them that they can’t rule it out.
Border chief testifies
Border Patrol officials got to explain their side of the migrant invasion situation at a congressional oversight hearing on Tuesday, February 7.
When Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin, who heads up the Tucson BPD sector, took the stand he informed Arizona lawmaker Paul Gosar he has “tremendous concern” that “terrorists and spies have infiltrated into the country.”
The response came when Gosar inquired “if terrorists or foreign agents could be among the 1.2 million ‘gotaways.‘” That’s the unofficial term for “people Border Patrol have spotted on camera or by sight but been unable to stop getting into the country.”

It’s been happening an awful lot since Joe Biden usurped the throne. Modlin was under oath and wanted to speak carefully. “To speculate who could possibly be in the ‘gotaways‘ or the unknowns would just simply be speculation.” He didn’t stop there, though.
In Tucson, BPD crews don’t like that. “All I can tell you is that it is a tremendous concern that anyone goes through the border undetected, but the reality is that we know that there are people getting by.” During the 2022 fiscal year, they nabbed “98 people whose names appeared on the terror watchlist trying to enter the U.S. illegally.”
The new cycle started in October and since then, they caught 38 more known or suspected terrorists. Just like the drugs pouring across, the more they catch, the more are getting through. That, most people say, is a “national security risk.”

No words to describe it
The flood of invading migrants pouring across our border is literally unspeakable. The statistics are just numbers. The reality, as described by Modlin, is “we went from what I would describe as ‘unprecedented‘ to a point where I don’t have the correct adjective to describe what’s going on.”
Rio Grand Valley Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez added, “the world is watching” how we handle this crisis. Especially our enemies.
When asked by Byron Donalds of Florida if the border officials agreed that Joe Biden and his policies are to blame for the historic surge, the answer came with no beating around the bush. Modlin was obviously glad to be asked.
"The world is watching."

“Interviewing [migrants] post-arrest, what became the most common response was that they believed that when the administration changed, the policy changed, and that there was an open border.” That’s how “El Paso, Texas became the epicenter of the migrant crisis in the last year.”
Modlin was clear to point out that while the migrants might think they can stroll on in anytime they like, wherever they want, the Border Patrol is still on the job, arresting the ones they catch and deporting the ones they can. While “perception” may have changed, “the law and policies did not.”
Ms. Chavez pointed out that any meaningful change needs to come from Congress and should include their input. They’re all fired up to provide it. “Whenever Congress is ready to put that team together, look at Border Patrol agents to come in and advise you. If we don’t have the right policies or consequences, the world is watching us — we’re going to continue to see these large migration flows from around the world entering here at our southern border.“
