It turns out, the House may not be able to investigate Joe Biden as quickly as they thought.
The documentation that they want is being blocked by National Archives.
Unless the DOJ approves the release of that documentation, they will not be able to obtain the data.
Not Happening
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) just got a letter from Archives that did not make him very happy.
Archivist Debra Steidel Wall wrote, “DOJ has advised it will need to consult with the newly appointed Office of Special Counsel (SCO) in DOJ to assess whether information can be released without interfering with the SCO’s investigation.”
It continued, “NARA receives only the Presidential and Vice Presidential records that the departing administration provides us; we are never able to know whether we have ‘all’ such records.”
Before I let you go, I cannot help but bring up the response by NARA when Trump accused Obama of having possession of classified documents.
At the time, the letter stated, “Reports that indicate or imply that those Presidential records were in the possession of the former Presidents or their representatives, after they left office, or that the records were housed in substandard conditions, are false and misleading.”
That statement was made in October 2020.
Two months later, documents were found in Penn Biden Center office.
