DHS Secretary Mayorkas is pushing an old and tired narrative.
It would seem that Mayorkas would prefer for Republicans to keep their mouths shut about the border being a turnstile right now.
Why?
Because he believes by talking about it, they are drumming up business for the human smugglers.

Numerous Republicans have done the media circuit to discuss the issues at the border.
Secretary Mayorkas and everyone else in this administration seems to think the American people are idiots, insisting that the border is closed.
The heat is getting turned up on Mayorkas after an email revealed that Mayorkas knew #WhipGate was bogus from the outset.
After Republicans demanded his resignation, he responded, “I’ve got a lot of work to do, and I intend to continue to do it. That’s my response.”
Rather than answer for screwing over his agents, he redirected the attention to Republicans.
He stated, “The political cry that the border is open is music to the smugglers’ ears, because they take that political rhetoric and they market it.”
