We reported on the horrific murders of four Idaho University students.
Police have now offered up more information on the case.
This is definitely being considered a homicide, as the Moscow PD have stated these kids were clearly targeted and killed.
Bloody Attack
The home of the students was just off campus near Greek Row in Moscow, ID.
The victims have now been identified as Ethan Chapin, 20, of Conway, Washington; Madison Mogen, 21, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Xana Kernodle, 20, of Avondale, Arizona; and Kaylee GonCalves, 21, of Rathdrum, Idaho.
Neighbors stated that there was a lot of noise coming from the home on Saturday night before the bodies were found, but it is not clear if that was from a struggle or a party at the house.
Only hours before the suspected death of the students, they had posted a selfie that included two other students on Instagram.
Moscow PD stated, “based on information from the preliminary investigation, investigators believe this was an isolated, targeted attack and there is no imminent threat to the community at large.
“Investigators are continuing to work diligently on establishing a timeline of relevant events to re-create the victims’ activities on the evening of November 12 and early morning of November 13, following all leads and identifying persons of interest.”
According to local reports, the murder scene was horrific, especially on the home’s second floor.
University of Idaho President Scott Green stated, “Words cannot adequately describe the light these students brought to this world or ease the depth of suffering we feel at their passing under these tragic circumstances.
“No one feels that loss more than their families and friends.
“The university is working directly with those affected and is committed to supporting all students, families and employees as this event undeniably touches all of us.”
Police currently have no suspects or motive, and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 208-883-70054.
