If you break the law you go to jail.
That usually is what happens.
Crossing the border illegally is a crime, but Rep. Castro (D-TX) wants to give migrants a lottery ticket instead.
Give Them Amnesty
Granted, the story of these migrants is a horrible one, but it was of their own doing.
They got into the back of a semi in sweltering heat and tried to get snuck across the border.
Many of their friends died in that truck, which is a tragedy, but had they not been committing a crime, they would all still be alive.
Call me heartless if you must, but that is the reality of the situation.
You do not get awarded for committing a crime and being a survivor, but that is what Castro is trying to do.

These people are not victims… they paid to be snuck across the border.
They knew what they were risking when they got into that truck, in that heat, and they did it anyway.
Have pity, but they are not getting a green card!
