A former associate of Jeffrey Epstein is dead.
No, it does not appear as though there was some mysterious suicide.
Steven Hoffenberg appears to have died alone, with nobody discovering his body for days, if not weeks or months.
Rotting Body
Hoffenberg was once the toast of the town in New York.
A long time ago, he was a resident of Trump Tower, partied among the elite, and was even touted as the savior of the New York Post.
That changed when he was caught running a massive Ponzi scheme and started hanging out with Jeffery Epstein.
Epstein, by the way, was mentioned in a recent lawsuit over the scheme as having been one of the individuals that dipped his hand into that honey pot.
In a home that was a far cry from his digs at Trump tower, a wellness check was performed and what police found was not pleasant.
A body was in the home, rotting away, apparently for some time.
No trauma was apparent and nothing to suspect of foul play, just a dead, rotting corpse in his Derby, CT home.
A Derby Police Department spokesman stated, “Every indication is that it is Mr. Hoffenberg.
“There’s nothing to suggest that it isn’t.
“We believe it’s him.
“We’re just waiting for dental records.”
Hoffenberg was 77 years old.
