The fallout from Senator McConnell’s (R-KY) comments during a local chamber meeting in Kentucky continues.
McConnell pointed to the fact that the GOP will probably lose the Senate.
That was not necessarily the issue.
The issue would be that he talked smack about the candidates, something a party leader should not be doing during an election simply because he does not like their politics.
Hannity Lets Loose
Hannity, as we all know, is a diehard Trump supporter.
That being said, even though most of the struggling candidates are Trump-backed candidates, there is no way Hannity will have Trump blamed if these candidates lose.
To that point, this is Hannity going off on McConnell during a recent show…

Now, I agree with a lot of what Hannity said, but Trump also needs to step up to the plate here.
He has more than $250 million in his war chest, and he is not writing checks for these candidates.
One of Trump’s bigger donations was to an election integrity group that wants to investigate the 2020 election.
Trump gave them $150,000 but not a single candidate he has backed has gotten anything close to that.
The bottom line is that time is running out and Trump can own the airwaves if he drops that $250 million into ad buys.
If I were Hannity, the next I talked to Trump I would be looking for input on that front and a clear game plan on how he plans on helping these candidates with all that money he has stashed.
Hannity’s conclusion, however, was dead on and it is something I have been saying for the last decade… the time has come to move on from Mitch McConnell.
He is a relic, and he just doesn’t get “it” any longer.
