How often have we heard Democrats talk about election interference to benefit the GOP?
So, would dumping millions of dollars into an opposing primary to get someone you can portray as an extremist be considered manipulating an election or election interference?
I am asking because that is what a Super PAC associated with Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) just did.
Buy the Vote
Senate Majority PAC (SMP), which is aligned with Schumer, dumped $4.1 million into Democratic Colorado.
Oddly enough, that organization dumped its money into advertising for Colorado state Senator Ron Hanks, a Republican.
They ran ads touting Hanks as a far-right wing candidate, as conservative as it gets.
Now, Hanks, if you do not already know, marched in the January 6 riot at the Capitol.
You see where this is going, right? They wanted Hanks in there to grease the ways for their guy, but the plan backfired.
Not only did Hanks lose, but the plan was exposed…
In a shocking development that absolutely no one could have seen coming, Democratic Colorado, the group that spent over $4M in the #COSen GOP primary trying unsuccessfully to keep Joe O'Dea out of the general election, was entirely funded by Chuck Schumer's Senate Majority PAC https://t.co/HJUVLT54MT pic.twitter.com/UGoNfW5M4x

That is arguably one of the most underhanded things I have ever seen a political leader be a part of in my time.
The next time you hear Schumer talk about election interference, throw that report in his face.
