Brownsville, TX, was the scene of a horrific “accident” that killed eight people and injured another 10.
Migrants were standing outside a shelter when a vehicle approached.
According to witnesses, the vehicle sped up and ran into the crowd, sending bodies everywhere.

Police have identified George Alvarez as the alleged driver of the vehicle that struck everyone.
Luis Herrera, a Venezuelan immigrant and witness, stated, “It was sudden.
“A woman drove by and told us to leave the area. We started to leave, and in a second the driver came up and was pointing at us, cursing, calling us things like, ‘Motherf—–‘ and other things I didn’t understand.
“When he drove up, he stepped on the gas. Full force. He passed over me.”
Alvarez tried to leave the scene but multiple people grabbed him and held him until the police arrived.

Alvarez is now being charged with eight counts of manslaughter and 10 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Frankly, considering the witness account, I was surprised they are only charging him with manslaughter, as this seemed a very purposeful attack.
