Forty Violent Rioters Arrested During Violence and Mayhem

Following the police shooting of 2o year-old Daunte Wright, Black Lives Matter rioters took violently to the streets of Brooklyn Center, MN. The city government, anticipating trouble had placed a curfew into effect on Monday, a curfew that was largely ignored.

“We just want to say thank you for all the people who came out and exercised their First Amendment right in a peaceful manner,” Minnesota Department of Public Safety Assistant Commissioner Booker Hodges said Tuesday morning. “Unfortunately, there were those who decided not to do that.”

“For months we’ve been saying riotous behavior is just not going to be tolerated, and unfortunately tonight, that is some of the things we encountered.”

According to The Daily Caller,

“Five burglaries were reported in nearby Minneapolis, according to Minneapolis Police Department Deputy Chief Amelia Huffman. A liquor store, tobacco store, shoe store and AutoZone were among the stores burglarized. Four individuals were arrested for burglary, six were arrested for curfew violations, Huffman said.”

Rioters, Not Protesters: RIOTERS.

Mainstream media outlets have been desperate to characterize the violent riots that have gripped Brooklyn Center as “peaceful protests”, however, Chief Gannon of the Brooklyn Center Police was adamant that this was in fact a riot and his officers responded appropriately.

The Daily Caller reported on Chief Gannon’s terse exchange with argumentative “reporters”

CHIEF GANNON: “I was front and center at the protest, at the riot.”

QUESTIONERS: “Don’t do that… There was no riot.”

CHIEF GANNON: “There was… The officers were being pelted with frozen cans of pop, pelted with concrete blocks… an officer was hit in the head with a brick”

Chief Gannon has since resigned his position and an interim Police Chief has been named. The officer who accidentally killed Mr. Wright also resigned while under administrative leave.

According to NPR, “the city has appointed 19-year veteran Tony Gruenig to be acting police chief.

“The acting chief here has spent a lot of time working in the community, working with the community. He’s someone who knows Brooklyn Center well,” said (Mayor Mike)Elliott. “He, probably more than any other person in the department, has a very strong commitment to working directly with the community to help resolve issues.”

Post Millennial Editor-At-Large Andy Ngô has reported that similar riots have broken out in typical hot spots: “Brooklyn Center, Minn., Seattle, New York City, Portland, Berkeley, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Omaha, Kansas City, Washington D.C., Fort Lee, N.J., Hoover, Alab., Fort Wayne, Ind.” With BLM activists like Imani Gandy tweeting  “loot and burn everything” and “who the fuck cares about looting”.
