Donald Trump loves his lawsuits, and he just dropped another one.
Trump is suing his former fixer.
Michael Cohen, who has had quite the bad run, just got slapped with a $500 million lawsuit from Trump.
Going Down
The filing states, “This is an action arising from [Cohen’s] multiple breaches of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, conversion and breaches of contract by virtue of [Cohen’s] past service as [Trump’s] employee and attorney.
“In addition to estimating more than $500 million in damages should the lawsuit be successful, the complaint seeks $74,000 subject to an allegedly ‘unlawful conversion and made via fraudulent misrepresentation’ by Cohen, plus interest and other costs and expenses.”
During a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Trump stated that he was going to start firing of civil lawsuits against everyone that the government failed to put in jail regarding all the witch hunts against him while he was in office.
This is clearly the first salvo.
Lanny Davis, Cohen’s attorney, stated, “Mr. Trump is once again using and abusing the judicial system as a form of harassment and intimidation against Michael Cohen.
“Mr. Cohen will not be deterred and is confident that the suit will fail based on the facts and the law.”
Trump will have a busy fall ahead of him.
In addition to the lawsuits he will be filing, he has numerous cases that were filed against him by New York, Georgia, the federal government, and a woman who claims that Trump sexually assaulted her.
Oh, and also has that whole presidential campaign thing to worry about.
