Did Trump finally take things a bit too far, even for his more diehard supporters?
Well, I doubt his true loyalists will be swayed, but quite a few others are jumping ship on the former president after a very controversial comment made this weekend.
Trump suggested circumventing the Constitution, an absolute no-no for true conservatives.
Put Me Back in Power
I understand Trump’s frustrations over the 2020 election after the massive data drop on Twitter, but suggesting we just put him in power is stepping over an uncrossable line.
Trump wrote, “So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION?”
“A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.
“Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”
The Constitution is greater than any President. End of story.

Trump is already pushing back, saying that he never stated that he wanted to toss rules in the Constitution, but it is right there for all to see.
He cannot blame this one on the fake news, even though he will try.
This is a man that has become unhinged over the results of the 2020 election.
His supporters in the party cannot get away from him fast enough and he continues to be his own worst enemy.
I just don’t see a path forward for Trump at this point. It is time for him to step aside.
