Donald Trump believes he did no wrong in taking documents out of the White House when his presidency was over.
He even tried to explain by saying he wanted to protect documents because he thought Biden might have all the Russian collusion documents shredded to protect Democrats.
He surely thought most Americans would agree with him.
Well, Fox News ran a poll… and they don’t.
Wrong
A whopping 65 percent of those polled say that Trump was wrong for taking the papers.
Now, all presidents take documents for their libraries and memoirs after they leave office.
However, a process must be followed in coordination with the National Archives.
Trump did not follow this process and simply left with the documents.
Trump is not getting the support he expected on this issue, as the disapproval goes well over party lines.
There was another question in the poll that shows that voters may finally have had enough of Trump.
Fifty-nine percent of those polled characterized Trump’s political behavior as overheated/dangerous.
This is not good.
By all signs, Trump wants to run again in 2024 and he is going in the wrong direction.
He is obviously still very popular, but is he popular enough to win?
That is the question everyone better ask before they pull the handle in the 2024 primary race.
