The House Oversight Committee is sick and tired of waiting for cooperation.
After Hunter Biden’s team refused to turn over the requested information, Chair James Comer (R-KY) is going to a different source.
The House Oversight Committee is now requesting that the Treasury Department sit in the hot seat to answer questions about Hunter Biden’s finances.
Let’s Chat
Committee Chairman Comer penned a letter to the Treasury requesting the information.
The letter stated, “This hearing will examine the various justifications you have provided the Committee regarding Treasury’s failure to produce documents requested of it, including SARs [suspicious activity reports].
“The hearing will provide the Committee invaluable information regarding Treasury’s approach to congressional oversight, as the Committee considers legislation that codifies what was once regular congressional access to SARs.”
Comer sat down with Newsmax to clarify, stating, “We were hopeful that the Bidens might cooperate with us.
“But obviously we’re not surprised that they continue to obstruct and deny, because it’s going to be hard to defend a lot of the stuff that they’ve done.
“So we believe the information is coming in at a good pace.
“But we’ve set everything up to where at some point we’ll be able to subpoena the Bidens for specific information, because to win a subpoena in court you have to prove that you’ve sincerely tried to get evidence for a long time.”
I have long stated that if a legitimate investigation was ever held on this front, it would prove that Joe knew and was involved in Hunter’s business activities.
Hopefully, that assumption will be proven as fact sometime over the next two years.
