Joe Biden has a fairly significant problem on his hands.

His change in immigration policy has the Democrat Hispanic Caucus, radical Democrats, and liberal pro-immigration groups outraged.

Now Biden is being attacked by his own.

Problems for Joe

Biden fed into this narrative when he was running for president.

He told voters he wanted to let in two million extra immigrants in his first year.

Well, it took him a bit longer than he planned, but he just reached his goal.

Now he is trying to turn off the faucet, and illegal immigration advocates are not happy about it.

Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-N.Y.) stated that the Democrat Hispanic Caucus has “some concerns regarding the recent policies that have been put in place by the administration.”

Espaillat continued, “Right now, the plan proposes that you have a sponsor — somewhat of a privilege to have a sponsor in the United States and probably has a cushy bank account and could bring you here.

“Not all asylum seekers can count on having a sponsor. You also have to apply via the [CBP One] app, which is complicated to begin with and collapses on many occasions.

“And so and in addition to that, of course, and if you don’t seek refuge in other countries, and you cannot prove that you seek refuge in other countries, you cannot opt for parole.

“So these are trouble policies.”

Sens. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Ben Ray Lujan (D-N.M.), and Alex Padilla (D-CA) issued a joint statement on the matter.

It read, “We are deeply disappointed that the Administration has chosen to move forward with publishing this proposed rule, which only perpetuates the harmful myth that asylum seekers are a threat to this nation.

“In reality, they are pursuing a legal pathway in the United States.

“We have an obligation to protect vulnerable migrants under domestic and international law and should not leave vulnerable migrants stranded in countries unable to protect them.”

This is obviously not something that will drive Democrats to vote for a Republican, but it just may get some Democrats to sit on the sidelines in the next election.
