As far as we know, if Joe Biden runs again in 2024, Kamala Harris will be on the ticket.
For whatever reason, the powers that be in the Democrat Party seem hell-bent on handing the controls of the party over to her if Biden falters or in 2028.
While leadership may feel that way, there are plenty of others in the party that are a bit more hesitant.
Succession is a Problem
With Joe Biden’s age, succession is a real issue in this upcoming election.
Because of Biden’s age, Kamala Harris’ name is just as much at the top of the ticket as Joe’s.
Greg Craig, who served the Obama and Clinton administrations, just penned an op-ed expressing concerns we have heard throughout the party on this subject.
He wrote, “When considering who should be his running mate in 2024, Mr. Biden would do well to follow what Franklin D. Roosevelt did in 1944: He expressed a preference for certain candidates but turned the choice of his running mate over to the delegates at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
“I do not suggest that Mr. Biden’s physical condition today is as dire as Roosevelt’s in 1944.
“However, the risk of Mr. Biden’s death or disability in his second term is such that the selection of his running mate takes on new urgency.”
Joe Biden "should take a page from Roosevelt’s book by telling his party that he will not dictate who will be his running mate,” writes Greg Craig. https://t.co/tDyXxrZIoB

Harris has proven to be utterly unlikeable during her time in office.
She has also proven to be a bit of an idiot, often serving up nonsensical word salads that leave people scratching their heads in disbelief.
This is all to our benefit, however, especially if it is Donald Trump that gets the nod for the GOP.
The Dems would be well served to put a rock star up and comer on the next ticket, but they will not do that because they are terrified of the backlash if they remove Kamala.
So, the advice given by Craig is for naught, and it just may be what causes the election to tilt to Trump if we get Trump-Biden II.
