The FBI is on a roll when it comes to taking down Republicans.
Its latest fish is not as a big a catch as Donald Trump.
However, we will admit, they do appear to be as guilty as hell.
The Hustle
The targets of this investigation were Tennessee state Rep. Glen Casada, 63, of Franklin, Tennessee, and his former chief of staff Cade Cothren, 35, of Nashville.
The two allegedly conspired to commit fraud by running a mailing scam.
Together, they are facing a 20-count indictment for “conspiracy to commit theft from programs receiving federal funds; bribery and kickbacks concerning programs receiving federal funds; honest services wire fraud; and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
“The indictment also charges Casada and Cothren with using a fictitious name to carry out fraud; theft concerning programs receiving federal funds; eight counts of money laundering; six counts of honest services wire fraud; and two counts of bribery and kickbacks.”
They both stand to do 20 years if they are found guilty of the charges.
You will not get an argument from us that these two were corrupt and deserved to be arrested.
However, it sure would be nice to see the same focus being put on Democrats that we know are corrupt.
Someone named Hunter Biden comes to mind.
Let me throw another name out there… Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA).
Waters has been running her own mailer scheme for years, and her daughter has made more than $1 million off it.
She uses an antiquated campaign mailer to drive donations and create a nice salary for her daughter, who usually works a few weeks during the campaign season, then gets a massive five or six-figure check for all her hard work.
Again, we don’t want special treatment. If they are corrupt, take them down, just don’t ignore them because they have a D next to their name.
