It could be argued that Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is the brightest legal mind in Congress.
The man knows the Constitution inside and out, and I would not want to debate him in any legal issue.
Point being, when he makes comments about the DOJ, I pay attention, and he just dropped a doozy.

So, every DOJ is going to have a lean to its party… that is just natural.
What usually does not happen is the weaponization of the department to go after the other party, which his happening right now.
Not only that, investigations seem to be getting launched to actually protect Joe Biden.
For instance, the appointment of a special counsel in the classified documents has blocked congressional access to Biden’s records, so the GOP is at a standstill in terms of being able to investigate Biden.
The same is true for Hunter Biden, as the Treasury will not release his financials to House committees that want to investigate his business dealings.
As long as these investigations are going on, the Bidens are untouchable.
