If you were born in the 1960s or 1970s, there is a pretty good chance you grew up with a massive crush on Shania Twain.
And yes, I would include myself in that crowd.
Well, she is back, and she is better than ever.
Still Got It Going On
Shania Twain did visuals long before the likes of singers like Lady Gaga.
While not nearly as outlandish as some of today’s pop acts, Twain clearly paved the way for visuals to be a part of the live performance like few had tried to that point.
She has influenced an entire generation of entertainers, which is why Harry Styles recently brought her out during a show to help relaunch her career…
Twain had left the scene for a minute because she was having throat issues.
The solution… open-throat surgery.
After three weeks of waiting to see if it worked, Twain stated, “Not knowing what I was going to sound like when I was able to speak again was really scary.
“The anticipation was crazy. It wasn’t the three weeks of silence, it was the three weeks of waiting to see if it worked.”
When she tested her voice, she stated, “I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I can yell! I can be loud!’ It was so glorious.”
Her new album, “Not Just a Girl,” is her sixth studio effort and the feedback on her new sound is amazing.
We are all glad you are back, Shania, and we cannot wait to see you on tour again!
