The oldest living woman in the world has died.
Sister Andre, born Lucile Randon, passed away.
She was 118 years old.
Did Not Fear Death
Sister Andre grabbed the title of the oldest living person in the world in April of last year.
When Kane Tanaka passed away at 119, Sister Andre was on deck.
Sister Andre reportedly died from a COVID infection, the second time she has gotten the virus.
Imagine having survived the Spanish flu only to be taken down by the next 100-year pandemic.
The first time she had COVID, she never even showed symptoms.
After surviving the virus the first time, she was asked if she feared COVID.
Sister Andre responded, “No, I wasn’t scared because I wasn’t scared to die… I’m happy to be with you, but I would wish to be somewhere else – join my big brother and my grandfather and my grandmother.”
Sister Andre’s spokesperson David Tavella stated, “There is great sadness, but she wanted it to happen, it was her desire to join her beloved brother. For her, it is freedom.”
