There is yet another excuse to move out of New York.
The city is collapsing, literally.
A horrific tragedy took place on Tuesday when a parking garage in Lower Manhattan collapsed.
Falling Down
According to local officials, at least one person was killed and five were injured.
That total could go up, as there were still people trapped at the time of this report.
The parking garage is located at 35-37 Ann Street.

Footage from the scene showed the collapse as well as a woman screaming, “GET OUT!”
Mayor Eric Adams stated, “At this time the building is completely unstable.”
John Esposito, the FDNY chief of operations added, “There was a worker who was trapped on the upper floor.
“He was conscious and alert and moving around calling us.
“He just couldn’t get down.
“We were able to put firefighters up there in the building to take him down across the roof of another building.”
Esposito continued, “We’re continuing to do searches.
“There are some cars in there that are crushed. We’re trying to see if we can get up close to make sure there’s nobody in those cars.”
An investigation is underway, but I would not doubt for second if they somehow decided to link this to global warming (I am only half kidding).
