A whole lot of people were outraged by Kim Kardashian after she offered some pretty time-honored business advice to women suggesting that many haven’t found success because they don’t want to put in the hard work necessary.

Kardashian made the remarks in a meeting with Variety while she, her sisters, and also their mother were advertising their show on the Hulu streaming solution. Kim, besides being a success in her own right is the daughter of successful attorney Robert Kardashian and prominent Los Angeles businesswoman Kris Jenner.
Her sister Khloe proffered a more genteel version of the message first,
“My advice for women in business is you just have to do what you’re actually passionate about because if you don’t have passion in it, it’s not easy regardless of how easy it looks,” said Khloé Kardashian.
“And I think people see things with instant gratification especially with social media, that they think it just comes easy to people, it doesn’t especially if you want something long-term,” she added.
But Kim didn’t pull the punch, interjecting
“I have the best advice for women and business. Get your f***ing ass up and work!”
“It seems like nobody wants to work these days,” she added.
Their sister Kourtney instantly agreed, “That’s so true,”
“You have to surround yourself with people that want to work,” continued Kim Kardashian falling back on some more socially acceptable tropes. “Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do, because you have one life. No toxic work environments.”
before concluding, “And show up and do the work,”
The remarks incensed tens of thousands on social media who excoriated the prominent Hollywood family.
“Kim Kardashian telling women in business to get their asses up and work the day after International Womens Day has to be the biggest joke of the year,” read one tweet with 60k likes.
“She has no actual talent. Don’t tell us to work until you’ve had a real job Kim. You’re not a role model for women,” read one tweet with more than 4k likes.

The Kardashian business empire shrewdly constructed around their centerpiece reality show is believed to be worth about $5 Billion. Many point to the Kardashians alongside the Hiltons for parlaying seemingly ‘stupid’ entertainment into a vast fortune with their antics belying the impressive business skills working behind the scenes. One seriously has to ask: if they made billions off of Americans by acting ‘stupid’ in the public eye… who are the dumb ones?
