A man who once graced the gridiron has been arrested and charged with some hideous crimes.

Eric Johnson, who played for three different NFL teams, is facing charges related to a huge human trafficking scheme in Georgia.

Johnson, who played for the Raiders, Falcons, and Cardinals, is also facing several other gang-related charges.

Horrific Crimes

Johnson’s “moment” came during Super Bowl XXXVII playing for the Readers.

He blocked a punt that was returned for a TD in the game.

After spending a few years in the NFL, Johnson appears to have gone down a different road.

He and other members of the “LOTTO gang” were holding women against their will and living off the money as well as using the money to buy guns.

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr stated, “Throughout our state, gangs are actively engaged in human trafficking as a primary means to make money, and we are using all available resources to fight back and protect our most vulnerable.

“By combining the strengths of our Human Trafficking and Gang Prosecution Units, we are working to ensure that those who lead, promote and encourage this unlawful activity are vigorously pursued and held accountable for their actions.

“This indictment is just the latest outcome in our ongoing efforts to keep our children and our families safe as we seek to root out violent crime wherever it occurs.”

The investigation took about a month to conduct, finding dozens of “predicate and overt acts” from October 2021 to July 2022.
