It would appear that a recent a decision by our new House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has created a bit of an issue for the new Democrat leader.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) was not happy with the decision to release the January 6 videos to Fox News
To me, it seems like they are more worried about what will get out rather than national security.
A Problem
McCarthy is turning over about 41,000 hours of video to Carlson.
Democrats are pushing the narrative that this will be a national security issue, but I really think they are worried what we will see that they edited out during their shame hearings.
Jeffries penned a letter expressing his concern.
He stated, “I write with respect to public reports that extreme MAGA Republicans in the House have provided tens of thousands of hours of sensitive Capitol security footage to a FOX News personality who regularly peddles conspiracy theories and Pro-Putin rhetoric.
“The apparent transfer of video footage represents an egregious security breach that endangers the hardworking women and men of the United States Capitol Police, who valiantly defended our democracy with their lives at risk on that fateful day.”

The chair of the committee, Bennie Thompson, also expressed his concerns.
He stated, “It’s hard to overstate the potential security risks if this material were to be used irresponsibly,” Thompson said in a statement.
“If Speaker McCarthy has indeed granted Tucker Carlson — a Fox host who routinely spreads misinformation and Putin’s poisonous propaganda — and his producers access to this sensitive footage, he owes the American people an explanation of why he has done so and what steps he has taken to address the significant security concerns at stake.”
I don’t know about you guys, but I cannot wait to see this footage.
