Popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson has been given exclusive access to a massive collection of January 6th footage, thanks to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
Sources reveal that Carlson now has access to over 41,000 hours of Capitol surveillance footage from the infamous riot.
This number has drastically increased from the previously reported 14,000 hours of supposed footage.
TV producers began to review the footage last week, which contains various camera angles throughout the entire Capitol grounds.
The hope is that we can expect clips of the footage to be airing within the coming weeks.
This news comes after Carlson had repeatedly questioned those who downplayed the riot as “vandalism.”
According to the Fox News host, “[T]here was never any legitimate reason for this footage to remain secret.”
Carlson continued on:
“If there was ever a question that’s in the public’s interest to know, it’s what actually happened on January 6. By definition, this video will reveal it. It’s impossible for me to understand why any honest person would be bothered by that.”
Just last month, McCarthy told reporters that he believes, “the American public should actually see all [that] happened instead of a report that’s written [on] a political basis.”
