Well, well, well… DHS Secretary Mayorkas just made a move that is going to have the tree huggers and liberal horde up in arms.
A statement was released from DHS that border barriers are now needed to slow the flow of illegal immigration at the border.
Not only that, but 26 laws are being waived to make it happen, including some environmental laws.
The Biden Wall
Since Joe Biden announced, he has taken the position that not only does a border wall not work, but he would not build a single foot of border wall on his watch.
Yet, DHS announced, “There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas pursuant to sections 102(a) and 102(b) of [the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996].”

By the way, if you look at that 1996 law, it was signed into law by President Bill Clinton, and guess who was a Senator at the time… that would be Joe Biden, who voted “yea” on the legislation, but the media does not seem to want to talk about that.
Anyway… Biden says the wall does not work, but his administration is waving, among other laws, the Clean Air Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act, to put up barriers at the border.
Now I can already see his administration arguing that barriers are not necessarily walls, but the real point here is that they are putting something up to stop the flow, something that he said would not happen on his watch.
Not only that, after Mayorkas’ office put out that statement, he told the media the administration had not changed its position on a border wall.
Why is the media allowing them to have their cake and eat it too?
Why is the media not hammering about the fact he voted in favor of that 1996 immigration law?
This is how are media operates these days… reporting only what this government wants them to report.
There is a word for that… communism.
