Department of Homeland Security Mayorkas has a rather large problem on his hands.
He lied under oath.
Previous testimony of Mayorkas was just debunked by our border boss, Chief Ortiz.
Perjury!
When Mayorkas was previously in the hot seat before Congress, he testified that we had “operational security” at the border.
While Ortiz did his best to cover for Mayorkas, he did eventually tell the truth.
Ortiz openly admitted that we do not have operational security at the border.
After hearing Mayorkas’ testimony stating that we did, Ortiz was asked if Mayorkas was lying.
After a bit of deflection, he admitted that per the actual definition of the mission of the department, we did not have control.
Chairman Mark Green stated, “I knew that he was the kind of guy who would shoot straight and be honest.
“And we prepared, so we did our homework, and we were prepared.
“I think you put the two together, and you got what we got, which is some pretty earth-shattering stuff.
“I think we want to talk to all the sector chiefs, but certainly the five that are struggling with the overflow right now and get their perspectives.
“And then at some point, Secretary Mayorkas is going to have to come and answer the question – did he lie to Congress, or is he just ignorant about the definition in the code on what defines operational security?”
I would not even give him that out… he needs to explain why he lied under oath.
Then he needs to be impeached for dereliction of duty.
