A completely shocking report broke this week regarding the New York Times.
Former New York Times reporter Bari Weiss claimed that a top-level Democrats was getting editing rights over an op-ed that had been written by Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.).
If this report is accurate, it goes to a new level of bias in our mainstream media.

Weiss claims that a New York Times staffer sent the Scott op-ed over to then-Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) for approval before publication.
The article was written in 2020 when Trump was still in office.
Senator Tim Scott was completely unaware that Schumer had been given the veto power over his op-ed.
Weiss left the Times due to an “illiberal environment.”
During a recent podcast, Weiss discussed the incident with Senator Scott.
She stated, “I wanna tell you a little story that I’m not sure if you know, staffers in the newsroom had debated publishing the “op-ed about the bill and why it fell apart.”
The legislation she is referring to was written by Scott.
“And this is the part I’m not sure if you know.
“There was a discussion about the piece and whether or not we should run it.
“And one colleague, a more senior colleague, said to a more junior colleague who was pushing for the piece, ‘Do you think the Republicans really care about minority rights?'”
Scott, as you know, is a minority.
He had only a one-word answer to the information… “Wow.”
Eventually, someone suggested sending the piece to Schumer for approval.
Scott responded, “I am disappointed to hear that. I am not surprised to hear that.
“You have to remember that The Washington Post fact-checked my life.”
He continued, “They wanted to know if I had somehow hidden my silver spoon and just was using a plastic spoon instead.
“There is something national media wants to frame any conservatives, particularly Black conservatives, as being disingenuous or insincere or a tool for the conservatives.
“When in fact the Black community is consistently as conservative as any community.”
That, my friends, is what we call a bombshell.
