CNN continues to shake the tree to see what will fall out.
Ever since the big management shakeup, the network has been shedding big salaries and somewhat revamping its programming.
The new management realized being 100 percent anti-Trump and MAGA was not exactly a good business plan if you want to compete in ratings.
Well, another big name just fell… CNN anchor Christine Romans is out.
She’s Done
Romans has been with CNN since 1999.
Her primary job was as a business correspondent, hosting the morning show, “Early Start.”
She has covered some of the biggest stories over the last two-plus decades, but that has now come to an end.
She was loved and respected by her co-workers, as is obvious from the tribute by Poppy Harlow.
Harlow stated, “She is CNN.
“Christine has been an integral part of not just this team, but this network.
“Her departure will be deeply felt.”
Even with all the moves that CNN has made recently, the network is still struggling in the ratings department.
Over the last year, the network has shed about 24 percent of its viewers, and the numbers the year prior were not exactly flattering.
CNN has not seen ratings this low in more than a decade.
The good news for the network is that now is the time to make moves, as Fox News is now struggling after the firing of Tucker Carlson.
People are looking for a new news home… the question is if CNN can lure them back after more than four years of completely biased news reporting.
