Democrats in several blue states have been trying to have Donald Trump removed from the ballot.
The Supreme Court settled that issue in favor of Trump, proving that Democrats were being a bit loose in their interpretation of the law.
Now, Joe Biden faces the same fate, only this time because of a huge mistake on the part of the DNC.
Too Late
The Democrat Party’s convention is not being held until August 19, which could prevent Joe Biden from being on the ballot in Ohio.
Ohio law requires that the nomination be awarded before the state’s deadline, which is August 7, in order to be on the ballot.
The only way for Biden to get on the ballot without changing the convention would be to file for an exemption.
Attorney Paul Disantis, counsel for the Ohio Secretary of State, dropped the bombshell on Democrats and the Biden campaign.
He wrote, “I am left to conclude that the Democratic National Committee must either move up its nominating convention or the Ohio General Assembly must act by May 9, 2024 (90 days prior to a new law’s effective date) to create an exception to this statutory requirement.”
The Biden campaign responded, “We’re monitoring the situation in Ohio and we’re confident that Joe Biden will be on the ballot in all 50 states.”
Even if Joe Biden figures this out and gets put on the ballot, he is still way behind the eight ball in Ohio.
Trump is currently polling better than Biden in the state by double digits, and he won the state in both 2016 and 2020.
Point being, Joe has little chance of winning the state whether he is on the ballot or not.
