Well, the leftist media in this country is at it again.
They are trying to spin Harris’ assignment to address the border situation.
This has come down to a battle of semantics and believe it or not, the outlet that tagged Harris a “Border Czar” wrote community notes on its own post to make it go away.
Not the Border Czar
This all started with a motion in the House to censure Harris for her failure as the Border Czar.
Now, in full transparency, the White House never did call her that, but the term was published by Axios in a report on Harris’ duties regarding the border.
At the time, Axios reported, “Vice President Harris said Wednesday she plans to visit Mexico and Guatemala ‘as soon as possible’ in a diplomatic effort to address surging migration at the U.S.-Mexico border, Reuters reports.
“The number of unaccompanied minors crossing the border has reached crisis levels. Harris, appointed by Biden as border czar, said she would be looking at the ‘root causes’ that drive migration.”
The title stuck, and other outlets grabbed it, but Harris pushed back, trying to separate herself from that particular aspect of the border.
In order to help Democrats attack the GOP, saying they made up the title on their own, Axios discredited its own report…

Now, like I said, this is all semantics.
Call it what you want, but Harris gave these nations billions to deal with their root causes, and it only continued to get worse.
In fact, December 2023 was the worst month on record with more than 300,000 crossings, and that has only slowed down because we are in an election year.
Harris failed, regardless of what you want to call her, so let’s stop playing silly games over the title the media gave her.
Fine, she was not tagged as the border czar by the administration, but she still sucked at her job!
