While Joe Biden continues to ignore the problem at the border, red states are starting to pitch in.
South Carolina just announced that it will send National Guard troops to Texas for Governor Abbott to use to deter illegal immigrants.
There is also a purple state chipping in.

In addition to all the red states that are helping, West Virginia is also sending troops.
It is actually rather astonishing that states are helping Texas more with this issue than the federal government.
On Wednesday, first-term Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin also announced that he would be sending some troops, about 100, to the Texas border.
Abbott has been literally begging other states to pitch in, as Texas’ resources are getting drained right now by the immigration problem.
So far, Florida, Mississippi, Iowa, Tennessee, and Nebraska have committed resources.
We can now add Virginia, West Virginia, and South Carolina to that list.
I have also seen reports that Arkansas will be chipping in soon.
We should note, not a single Democrat governor has offered resources on this front.
GOP Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin stated, “The ongoing border crisis facing our nation has turned every state into a border state.
“As leadership solutions at the federal level fall short, states are answering the call to secure our southern border, reduce the flow of fentanyl, combat human trafficking and address the humanitarian crisis.”
Through April of Fiscal Year 2023, there have been 1.4 million border encounters.
That is almost surpassing FY 2021 (1.7 million) and right on target for FY 2022 (2.3 million).
