Rep. James Comer (R-KY) has finally had it with Director Wray’s games.
Comer has been after a document for months, but the FBI keeps ignoring his request.
Now, after yet another snub, Comer is finally ready to take action.
Just Ignore Him
I have long stated that congressional subpoenas are about us useless as a fly on an elephant’s butt.
People are not afraid of them because they are rarely enforced.
Only when Trump’s people ignored them was there finally action taken.
The FBI has been ignoring Comer’s subpoenas for the document that allegedly contains proof that Biden was taking a bribe.
Comer is finally ready to take action.
Comer is now giving Wray one final chance, stating, “The FBI’s refusal to produce this single document is obstructionist.
“Nevertheless, to narrow the breadth of the subpoena, we are providing additional terms based on unclassified and legally protected whistleblower disclosures that may be referenced in the FD-1023 form: ‘June 30, 2020’ and ‘five million.’”
He continued, “Your response to the subpoena is due May 30, 2023. If the FD-1023 form is not produced by that date, the Committee will initiate contempt of Congress proceedings.”
