Earlier this week, we reported that Dr. Fauci was going to retire.
That report was based on an interview that Fauci himself gave.
Well, he is walking it back, just a bit, which is making Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) very excited.
Just Stepping Away, Not Retiring
Fauci stated that he would be leaving the NIAID before the end of Joe Biden’s term.
He stands by that, only he expects to be somewhere else.
The polarizing medical figure stated, “I said a very innocent but true thing.
“I said whether it’s Donald Trump or it’s Joe Biden’s second term, I don’t intend to be in my current position in January of 2025.
“What happens between now and then I have not decided, but the one thing I do know is that I have other things that I want to do in a professional way that I want to have the capability — while I still have the energy and the passion to do them.”
When Senator Paul (R-KY) who has been after Fauci since COVID started got the news, he was quite elated.
He stated that he could not wait for the day when he gets to hold Fauci accountable for his role in covering up the origins of COVID.
If and when Republicans get control of Congress, Fauci better keep his head under the firing line because Paul is dialed in and ready to pounce.
