Senator Warnock (D-GA) is less than a stellar human being.
If we are to believe his ex-wife, he is abusive and ignores his children; when he does have them, other people take care of them.
That is where the problem comes to the tune of $61,959.40.
Write the Check
This is the second time that Warnock has been hit with campaign finance violations.
The funny thing is, there is a committee set up to review questionable expenses, so this is purposeful deceit.
Warnock, who apparently rarely takes his children, uses nannies, sitters, daycare, and anything but himself to watch the kids when he has them.
His ex, in fact, is trying to change the custody arrangement because of this, filing to take the children full-time with her to Massachusetts while she attends Harvard.
If I read the complaint right, she also accuses him of being a deadbeat dad.
While campaign funds can be used for childcare, it has to be campaign-related, such as a daycare during an appearance or a nanny or a sitter for overnight care during a trip.
Warnock is apparently writing off ALL of his childcare expenses, regardless of the reason, which is a big no-no.
Warnock, of course, denies all this, painting a picture of a caring and loving father.
His office responded to the allegations, stating that Warnock is “a devoted father who is proud to continue to co-parent his two children as he works for the people of Georgia.”
Sure… we believe you.
