There was a time when a sports field was considered the holy grail.
Even thugs stayed away and let the kids in the neighborhood that were trying to play their way out of poverty alone.
In Philadelphia, that is no longer the case.
He’s Dead…
This week, a horrifying shooting took place in a city that is ironically nicknamed “The City of Brotherly Love.”
These days, Philadelphia is more like the Middle East.
Just as football practice was wrapping up at Roxborough High School, two thugs showed up with guns blazing.
They sprayed the field and hit five of the team’s players, the oldest being only 17 years old.
Sadly, a 14-year-old boy shot in the chest did not make it.
He was pronounced dead about a half-hour after the shooting took place.
Philadelphia may not be Chicago, St. Louis, or New Orleans yet, but it is trying awfully hard.
The sad reality is that the residents of this city will continue to elect Democrat mayors and allow this madness to continue.
