One of the more powerful names among conservatives has a legal problem on his hands.
Matt Schlapp, the American Conservative Union Chairman, has been accused of sexual misconduct.
Schlapp has denied the allegations.

The aide stated that Schlapp had groped him when the two men were in a car together back in October…

Schlapp’s attorney Charles Spies responded, “This anonymous complaint demonstrates the accuser’s real agenda, working in concert with Daily Beast to attack and harm the Schlapp family.
“The complaint is false and the Schlapp family is suffering unbearable pain and stress due to the false allegation from an anonymous individual.
“No family should ever go through this; the Schlapps and their legal team are assessing counter-lawsuit options.”
There are also reportedly texts about the incident, although they are apparently one-sided.
The aide had sent Schlapp a text stating that he was “uncomfortable with what happened last night.”
Schlapp did not comment on the incident, only asking him to give him a call to discuss.
