Concrete Encased Corpse Discovered Inside…

Philadelphia Police think they solved an 8-year missing person’s case when they hauled a concrete encased body from the basement of a “hoarding” home in the Wissinoming neighborhood. A “tip” led to the discovery but they aren’t revealing details of who knew where to look. Some say whoever would have been responsible for cleaning the property would be the most likely suspect.

Woman buried in concrete

Police note they were careful, as they broke open the concrete foundation slab. It took a week for cops to remove all the hoarded trash before they could get to the basement with a jackhammer.

As reported by New York post, the row home “has been a focus of a police investigation since they received the tip last week.

By the evening hours of Thursday, December 15, “police had found evidence of human remains.” By Monday, they were finally able to get to them.

Technicians “were finally able to reach the remains, which were buried beneath a foot of concrete, and carefully chisel out the woman’s body.” All they’re telling reporters about the tip is that it came in last week suggesting “a missing woman’s body was buried in the home.

The Medical Examiner hasn’t had a chance to make his review of the remains but will definitely “conduct an autopsy to determine whether the deceased individual — who has not yet been identified — was killed or died of natural causes before they were buried in the concrete.

Giving the suspects the benefit of the doubt, it’s better for them if the victim died and the death was concealed, than if they murdered the woman first. Either way, it’s bad. Neighbors are understandably stunned.

Family gone for days

Neighbors described as “baffled” told local outlets that “the family who lived in the home have been gone for days.” They had no idea they were living next door to the Adams Family. “You don’t know what’s going on — all these rumors, all these stories,” notes neighbor Melissa Rosario.

It took them so long to clean out the house. It’s like, ‘Oh maybe it’s a lie and maybe there’s not a body there.‘ And then to hear the body was there for eight years?” They just buried someone in the basement, poured more concrete and forgot about them.

The first indication that something unusual was up was when nearby residents saw “investigators and workers in hazmat suits haul multiple dumpsters of trash out of the home.

They did that for “six days since they executed a search warrant.” Police aren’t saying how long they will be investigating on scene.

New York Daily news adds that “bone fragments from a human foot were found last Thursday under about four feet on concrete.

As the search continued into this week, “a bag with the rest of the woman’s remains was found on Monday.” They also mention that the woman “has not been identified, but police believe they know who she is.” Another neighbor clued them in. “The girl has been missing eight years. The family was in and out of there all the time. At least they finally found her.
