Get those safe spaces ready because liberals are going to need them.
One of the co-defendants in the Georgia RICO case just had her case indefinitely suspended.
An appeals court has ruled that Misty Hampton’s case be put on hold.
Let’s Wait
Hampton’s initial motion for a delay was denied by Judge McAfee.
His decision, however, was overturned by the appellate court.
On Wednesday, the court released its ruling, stating, “Based upon Misty Hampton’s request that this Court stay her case pending this Court’s resolution of the outcome of the appeal in [The State of Georgia v. Donald J. Trump, et al], this Court hereby stays all underlying proceedings against her in the Superior Court of Fulton County pending the outcome of the appeal.”
One of the biggest issues regarding this case moving forward is the removal of Fani Willis as a prosecutor from the case.
If you recall, Willis had motions filed against her after it was revealed that she was having an affair with one of her prosecutors.
That prosecutor also happened to be making more than double that of an expert RICO attorney Willis brought on board for the case.
Judge McAfee had ruled that one of them had to go, so Nathan Wade wound up resigning from the case so that Willis could remain on as the lead prosecutor.
Willis has also had to deal with allegations from a whistleblower that she was misappropriating funds from a government grant for swag and computers.
Quite frankly, it is a bit shocking that she has not been removed from her position.
This just seems to be par for the course these days, however, as liberal prosecutors are getting away with just about everything, many of them with the backing of George Soros.
