The child of the rock star legend Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, has passed away at the age of 54.
Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla Presley, confirmed her death to news outlets just this evening on January 12.
Priscilla’s statement read:
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
She adds, “We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
According to TMZ, Lisa Marie had been rushed to the hospital just earlier today after paramedics arrived to her home in Calabasas, CA and found her in “full arrest”.
First responders were able to regain a pulse before they transported her to a nearby hospital.
This shocking news comes just days after Lisa Marie and her mother attended the Golden Globes on Tuesday, January 10.
Now, news outlets are stating that Lisa Marie’s death mirrors that of her father’s, who passed away in 1977 following a heart attack.
In 2003, Lisa Marie began her singing career after releasing her first album “To Whom It May Concern” which was later following by “Now What” and “Storm & Grace”.
Presley was married four times and leaves behind four children, Harper Lockwood, Finley Lockwood, Riley Keough, and Benjamin Keough.
Her son Benjamin passed in 2020 at the age of 27.
