Over the holiday weekend, the White House was pushing the narrative that gasoline prices were the lowest they had been in three years.
Technically, they were right, but it was also a bit deceiving.
The fact of the matter is, the gasoline prices are still higher, much higher, than they were when Donald Trump was in office.
Misleading…
There is a lot to break down in this regard.
First, one of the reasons that gasoline prices were lowered at one point was because Joe Biden was tapping into our emergency reserves.
That oil was supposed to be used for emergency purposes, but Biden kept releasing it for political reasons to help Democrats get votes in the election.
In the process, our strategic reserves are now the lowest they have ever been.
And even with that release, pricing is still well above 2020 levels.
When Joe Biden took office, gasoline was about $2.33 per gallon.
Since that time, gasoline prices have been on the rise. Yet, this was a post by the White House…

During Trump’s last year in office, gasoline prices were at $2.18 per gallon, so Biden still has a long way to go here, and he will never get there if he continues to keep his boot on the throat of fossil fuels companies in this country.
We are being lied to and misled my friends, and we simply cannot allow this administration to continue to get away with this nonsense.
