Texans were once again exposed to a mass shooting.
This time, it was in Allen, TX, at a local outlet mall.
Eight people were killed in the shooting, including a young child, but the story continues to slide downhill.
It turns out that the gunman was trained by the United States Army on how to operate a firearm.
Why?
One would think that before giving a recruit a weapon, the Army would make sure the individual was mentally stable.
That, apparently, is not the case.
Mauricio Garcia, 33, was tossed out of the Army over mental health concerns.
Yet, he had significant firearms training before he had been kicked out.
Not only that, but after leaving the Army, he somehow managed to get a job as a security guard, receiving at least two more training classes.
So, here is the question…
How did someone that was discharged from the Army for mental health issues manage to get more firearms training and pass a background check to obtain weapons legally.
Garcia also had on a “Right Wing Death Squad” patch, so he was clearly radicalized, and I would have to imagine his browsing history should have shot off a few red flags.
Once again, the system in place failed, as it has done in virtually every mass shooting we have seen.
Democrats want to talk about putting more laws on the books, yet we cannot even execute the ones that are there.
